CBS President Message Area
As we progress into
week 7 games this weekend the Spring season is approaching completion.
There are still many activities upcoming including DC Cup, CBS Inaugural
Skills Challenge May 17th and the Central Brevard 3v3 Challenge June 7th
and 8th.
DC Cup applications are due for all recreational teams planning to
participate in the upcoming event held over 2 separate weekends
beginning May 17th/18th with Finals on May31st/June1st. DC Cup is an
event designed for Recreational Teams only to provide a tournament
format for those teams aspiring to compete amongst all BYSL Clubs and
test their skills. I encourage all U8 thru U19 Recreational teams to
consider this event. The cost is very inexpensive at $100 per team in
comparison to your typical tournament events which range from $300-$600
per team. All information is posted on the BYSL website @
www.bysl.net .
We will be continuing multiple training centers for various age groups
throughout the Spring and Summer. Stay tuned for dates, etc...
Registration dates will be posted soon along with Competitive try-out
schedules. Competitive try-outs are tentatively planned for the week
beginning Tuesday June 3rd. Girls teams on Tuesday June 3rd and Thursday
June 5th. The boys will go on Wednesday June 4th and Friday June 6th.
Both boys and girls will have make-up try-outs on Monday June 9th as
needed. All will be completed at Kelly West Park.
In an effort to get teams organized in an earlier fashion and help us
identify needs for coaches, we are asking all coaches that plan to coach
in the Fall to please respond to the forthcoming email and indicate so
in their reply so we can begin looking at potential needs for the Fall
Season.
Thanks to all for their efforts, time and talents that help make this
all work and provide opportunities for our children to play soccer and
the experience of being part of "Team" and all that is good which is
cultivated from that.

CBS Brevard United U12

The Brevard United U12 Boys soccer

the regional semi final on Saturday. Sunday morning the team defeated
Inter United in a very difficult finals match. Inter United scored
first, midway through the first half. Brevard United got back into the
match and then later took control with 2 second half goals. This is the
